London rendezvous

There's a chance to meet up with CxOs and enterprise architects to swap SOA war stories at an informal evening next month in London. The theme is "loosely coupling the enterprise," so naturally Loosely Coupled is co-sponsoring the event. There will be no supplier pitches or tedious talks; just some brief words from Kevin Poulter, application technology manager at British American Tobacco, one of the most advanced pioneers in engineering the loosely coupled enterprise, and a welcome chance to chat over cocktails with like-minded individuals.

The event is being laid on thanks to the kind generosity of CXO Systems, whose enterprise dashboard product makes innovative use of web services and SOA technologies, and supported by Blue Titan, one of the leading vendors of SOA fabric infrastructure.

Attendance is by invitation only, and is strictly limited to executives from enterprises who are engaged in, or actively considering, deploying loosely coupled business automation. The idea is to give early adopters a chance to exchange views and experiences, as well as pass on what they've learnt to others interested in following in their footsteps — oh, and to have a good time, too. As a sponsor, it just so happens that Loosely Coupled has a dozen or so invitations available to its readers, so anyone who would like to come along please drop me a line at pw AT philwainewright.com, and we'll see what we can do to fit everyone in. The event takes place at a very salubrious venue in the relaxed and trendy district of Notting Hill, and will be on Wednesday Nov 3, from 6 to 8pm (and then I guess we'll all go off for curries or pizzas).
